Beautifully hand drawn, custom pen and ink framed portraits of your little pickle! Or someone else’s little pickle. Your choice. Here’s a little bit about the nuts and bolts of the kinHEADS commissioning process.
Source Material:
I ask for some of your favourite photos, around three or four (up to 10 never hurts!), so I can see which would be the most appropriate to draw from. The image may often not be your most ‘favourite’ or ‘the best’ photo, some make better portraits to draw from than others. So it’s great to have a few to review. Basically, the more the merrier.
It really helps if the shots are fairly close up. This enables me to see fine details around the eyes etc. I will also need a picture of the whole head within the shot with no bits of the face obscured by pesky hats or hands!
The image opposite illustrates the optimum distance at which your little pickle’s features can be clearly perceived. Perfect.
The Finished Piece:
Each kinHEAD will come framed in a contemporary 28cm square, black bevelled frame with white mount which sets off the monochrome drawing style particularly well. The frame is lightweight and easy to send.
It takes the hassle out of getting it framed yourself too, and quite frankly we can all do with a little less hassle!

Dispatch Timing & Delivery:
Once commissioned it will take 4-6 weeks to complete the portrait which includes time for discussion, image selection and delivery. Often it will be quicker.
Each kinHEAD will be delivered stylishly wrapped in brown parcel paper with and handwritten thank you card which can be personalised to include your own message.
The kinHEAD will be sent Royal Mail Tracked and Signed For Special Delivery.
